Becoming a member of Hinckley Archery Club has many benefits, and by joining our community of archers we endeavour to provide a supportive environment and first-class coaching to take your skills to the next level.
JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP (UNDER 21)
Over the last few years the club has seen large growth in the number of junior archers, some whom come with parents and some who have joined by themselves. This new generation of archers are helping to reinforce the clubs reputation of producing talented junior archers.
MEMBERSHIP FEES
The membership fee is calculated based on outdoor only shooting for the next year. It covers both club membership and an archers licence from ArcheryGB.
Adults between the ages of 18 and 21 pay the junior rate, whilst adults 22 and over pay the adult rate, as set out below:
1st October 2024 - 30th September 2025
Fees are payable before 1st October 2024
Existing & New Members - Full Year (GNAS/Region/County/Club)
Adult: £150.00, includes AGB (£60), County Fee (£10) and club membership (£80)
Junior (U'21): £40.00, includes AGB (£20), County Fee (£3.75) and club membership (£16.25)
Associate Members (for members of existing clubs: £80 (full year field shooting fee)
Visitor Fees (individuals who wish to visit the club and pay each visit): £5.00 per session
WHAT IF I JOIN PART WAY THROUGH THE YEAR?
ArcheryGB requires any member to pay their full year fee; this now becomes your annual renewal date with AGB. Regional and county fees must be paid for the full year regardless of how much the archer shoots and which date they join..
Whilst the club has no control over this, we do reduce the 'Hinckley Archery Club' portion of the membership fee to reflect the number of months a member may shoot: For Adults we will charge £7 per month until the end of September and under 21 will be £1.50 per month.
Some examples:
An Adult joins in January 2025. Archery GB fee which is valid for a full year from the point of joining costing £60. Region/County Fee £10 which lasts until end of September 2025 payable to the club to process. Club membership 9 months x £7 = £63. AGB £60. Payable to the club £10 + £63 membership fee £73 (Total £133)
A Junior joins in January 2025. Archery GB fee which is valid for a full year from the point of joining costing £20. Region/County Fee £3.75 which lasts until end of September 2025 payable to the club to process. Club membership 9 months x £1.50 = £13.50. AGB £20. Payable to the club £3.75 + £13.50 membership fee £17.25 (Total £37.25)
An Adult joins in June 2025. Archery GB fee which is valid for a full year from the point of joining costing £60. Region/County Fee £10 which lasts until end of September 2025 payable to the club to process. Club membership 4 months x £7 = £28. AGB £60. Payable to the club £10 + £28 membership fee £38 (Total £98)
A Junior joins in June 2025. Archery GB fee which is valid for a full year from the point of joining costing £20. Region/County Fee £3.75 which lasts until end of September 2025 payable to the club to process. Club membership 4 months x £1.50 = £6. AGB £20. Payable to the club £3.75 + £6 membership fee £38 (Total £29.75)
FEE PAYMENT
Hinckley Archery club subs comprise four distinct elements:
Affiliation to GNAS (Grand National Archery Society) trading under Archery UK
GNAS provides public liability insurance when shooting to GNAS rules of shooting on a recognised Archery venue. It also provides Coach, Judges and club development.
Affiliation to Region - which for Leicestershire is EMAS (East Midlands Archery Society)
Region organise regional shoots, regional squads and coaching liaison.
Affiliation to County – which for Hinckley is Leicestershire and Rutland Archery Society
The county organises county shoots, inter-county shoots, senior and junior coaching and coach education.
